We Believe in the Power of Singing Together

All performers must wear only black except for the bowtie and cummerbund. No casual wear will be allowed, and students not dressed appropriately will not be allowed to performed.

Example of concert attire

Choir Concert Make-Up Assignment for each song (submit 2 for 2 songs, 3 if your choir sings 3 songs)

1. Record your part: 50%

1. Sing along to a youtube recordings of each song, recording yourself as you sing. Your voice must be heard. If I cannot identify you as the singer, the recording does not count for credit.

2. Upload the recordings to youtube, keeping the video private. Share the link with me.

2.  2 page paper per song: 50%

• Write about the lyrics, composer, and the music. There are great tips here: Tips on Writing a Music Analysis Essay

• It must have a title page with the student name, title of the paper, and date

• It must be at least 2 full pages (3 with the title page), double spaced, with 12 point font, and regular margins, copied lyrics do not count

  plagiarized work will not be accepted

• It will be graded according to SAHS late work policy
