A special congratulations to Cole Marshall, our #1 seat, who secured one victory for NAHS! While the competition was tough and our team lost the overall match, our team gained valuable experience and is eager to keep growing and improving.
Our Chess Club President, Gabriel Alvarado, was there to cheer on the team, along with supportive faculty, fellow club members, and student families. With such an incredible start, the future of NAHS Chess looks bright!

Every year, Aiken County Public Schools hosts various leaders in the Principal for the Day program. These community members get to walk in the shoes of our principals, experiencing all the successes and challenges they face on a daily basis. On Friday, February 28th, we welcomed Chief Junior Johnson, of North Augusta Public Safety, as our principal for a day.
In addition to working alongside Principal Rogers on the day in and day out activities of being a principal, he also had a chance to experience our Black History Program, interact with our blood drive donors, and even meet with our Yellow Jacket News Crew!
We cannot thank him enough for taking the time to connect with our school and students. A huge debt of gratitude for all Chief Johnson, as well as our SRO's, Officer Johnson and Officer Lebby in keeping all of us at North Augusta High and our community safe.
Final Four Again!!! The girls hit the road for a Monday matchup in the Final Four against Lower Richland. Tip-off is at 3PM with the boys following at 4:30 against Wilson. Please make the drive Monday to support our Jackets!

Mr. Ball’s students of the month for February are Briley Howard, Kennedy Rodgers, and D’Montae Satterwhite. All three of these students work hard in class each day, and are willing to help those around them. Their kindness, personality, and commitment to their education demonstrate how learning can be fun and how to be successful. Keep up the good work!
The following is important information taken from the South Carolina High School League regarding Monday's Games:
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Spectator entrances are located at doors on both sides of the box office. Gates open for spectators 1 hour before the start each day.
Tickets are $15 at the box office. The box office will accept cash, debit and major credit cards. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster are $15 plus the additional Ticketmaster fees. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets purchased will be for the day only. Re-entry is not allowed, and a new ticket must be purchased if a patron decides to leave the building with plans of returning. Fans will not be permitted to reserve sections of seats.
Parking is $10 per car and will be cash only. All parking for guests attending an event is located at Gates 3 and 5. Overnight parking is not permitted.
The Florence Center requests that guests arrive early and travel light, as all guests and bags entering the Florence Center are subject to search and there is a clear bag policy.
Walk-through metal detectors and/or hand-held security wands may be utilized during entry.
South Carolina High School League passes (with picture ID) will enter through the SCHSL Pass Gate located to the right of the box office.
Concessions will be available and will accept cash, debit and major credit cards.
No artificial noisemakers or handheld signs will be allowed. No parents or fans will be allowed on the court during or following any game. Fans and parents are allowed to have cameras at the event.

The Bridge Builder Excellence Award is presented to current high school football players in the state of South Carolina who embody excellence in the community, in the classroom, and on the field. Another trip to the Final Four! Our Lady Jackets defeated Gray Collegiate 49-20 Wednesday night to get another ticket to the Final Four! Attention Seniors! The North Augusta Optimist Club, in partnership with the North Augusta City Administration, sponsors the Youth Appreciation Program, which allows selected senior students to be recognized as honorary members of the North Augusta City Administration to gain insight into how city government operates. The event will occur on Monday, March 17th. All applications (available in the counseling office) are due by Monday, March 3, 2025. Sign up today for this informative and fun event!

Join the NAHS Orchestras as we participate in the Garcia Orchestra Festival next Monday, March 3rd! Garcia serves as a celebration of Orchestra in Aiken, bringing together students from across the county for an immersive musical experience. The day will culminate with a concert, starting at 6:30pm in the USC Aiken Etherredge Center. We hope to see you there!
Girls basketball defeated Aiken 57-25 Friday night in Round 2 of the AAAA State Playoffs. They will host Gray Collegiate at home Wednesday night! Come out and watch these girls in their last home appearance of the season!
