As a reminder, underclassmen photos may be PREVIEWED AND ORDERED through the Wilson Studios Website. The link can be found on our school website under Activities/Sandspurs yearbooks. Upon entering the site, enter your email address, and then students will use their school STUDENTS ID NUMBER as the password.

This is reminder that Josten’s will be here Thursday September 19th, during homeroom, to speak to seniors about ordering their graduation supplies. If you cannot attend, we will send out detailed information following the meeting.

Our NAHS Jackets will travel to Gilbert HS to take on the Indians. Game time is 7:30pm. Please refer to the following information for purchasing tickets, parking, and entry requirements.

On Monday, September 23rd, the NAHS Orchestras will be hosting a Community Night at Your Pie in North Augusta (434 Georgia Ave, North Augusta, SC 29841) from 5:00pm-8:00pm. We hope you will make plans to join us as we raise funds to support our growing program with new instruments, supplies, and performance opportunities in the Spring!

Come out and support the Jacket Regiment on Wednesday, October 16th from 5pm until 9pm at Freddy's in North Augusta. Proceeds go to support our band program!

Intersession will be held Monday, September 30th through Thursday, October 3rd from 8:30 - 3:30pm for students who failed a course during Quarter 1 or need Attendance Recovery. Register using the link below by Friday, September 20th. https://forms.office.com/r/DgusLQ79yP

Junior Dues are $100 will be accepted between September 23 and October 18th. Junior Dues are not displayed in PowerSchool. Your Junior Dues buy your prom ticket for your Junior and Senior year, Graduation , Senior Breakfast, and the Junior Ring Ceremony. Cash or checks (made out to NAHS) are accepted and should be paid during homeroom in Ms. Noland’s room, M117. Strict Deadline – No late payments will be accepted. If you do not pay your dues by the due date, you will need to buy your prom tickets individually at a higher cost. ($60 each)

Next Wednesday, September 18, all students will be dismissed at 12:30pm. Afternoon career center students will be attending the career center on this day. We ask that they arrive by 8:20am to catch the career center bus. Morning career center students may arrive to school late for their first class at NAHS. The schedule for that day is attached.

We take all threats seriously and work in collaboration with law enforcement to fully investigate each and every rumor and/or post that is shared. There is no active threat impacting the safety and security of any of our school campuses. Rumors of this nature cause a great deal of concern, stress and anxiety. When those are shared on social media, the impact is far-reaching, and causes unnecessary concern for other parents, students, and staff, and divert critical resources away from genuine safety and security efforts. If ever there is an actual incident of school violence at your child’s school or if a threat of violence at your child’s school warrants your attention, school and/or district communications will notify you. We are committed to sharing accurate information as quickly as situations allow. We hope to never have to notify you of an actual event of school violence, and we are fully committed to maintaining the safety and security of our schools through a variety of safety measures and close collaboration with local law enforcement. If you or your student ever have a safety concern, or if you hear a rumor of a safety concern, we ask that you immediately notify the appropriate authorities. This includes local law enforcement and the administration at the district office or the school involved. Thank you for your support as we work together to keep our schools, and your children safe.

Save the Date! The Junior Class Ring Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30pm in the Jacket Arena. If you ordered your ring from Jostens, your name is already on the list to participate in the ceremony. If you have a balance on your account with Jostens, this must be paid in full by Monday, October 14th. Please stop by room M117 if you purchased a ring from an outside company and would like to participate in the Ring Ceremony. Look for details about a week before the ceremony!

The Aiken County Career and Technology Center application is open. The deadline to apply is December 1st. Please see your school counselor if you have any questions.

This Saturday, September 14th, the NAHS Symphonic Orchestra and Concert Choir will be performing in the SC Humanities Festival as part of a youth showcase, sponsored by the NA Cultural Arts Council. The performances will take place in the Sharon Jones Amphitheater in Downtown NA and are free and open to the public. The Symphonic Orchestra will perform at 4:00pm, and the Concert Choir will perform at 4:30pm. We hope to see you there!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW! CSRA College Night will be held on Thursday, September 12 from 5pm-8pm at the Augusta Convention Center at 901 Reynolds Street. This is a new location due to the construction taking place at the James Brown arena.

This Friday, 9/6, the Jackets will host the South Aiken Thoroughbreds. Game time is 7:30pm! As a reminder, Paul Knox will be available for parking, with a shuttle service starting at 6pm. The theme is Hawaiian Night! Come dressed in your flowery shirts to show our Jacket Spirit!

All Aiken County Public School District schools, buildings, and offices will be closed for Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. We hope that everyone has an enjoyable Labor Day Weekend and look forward to seeing students back at school on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

FINAL REMINDER! Homecoming Court Applications can be picked up in Mr. Spears room D310 on the Social Studies Hall or can be found on our website under the Seniors Tab. All applications are due by Sept. 3rd at 3:30 in the Main Office. No Late Applications will be accepted.
