On Thursday, February 27th, Connor Brown was named a WJBF Sports Scholar Athlete Award Winner. In addition to being a scholar student, he has played on the varsity football team serving as team captain both his 11th and12th grade years, as well as played soccer, and participated in clay shooting. At school he is a member of Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Off the field, he has participated in various service initiatives including the Best Night Ever Prom Event at True North Church, Pumpkin unloading at Saint Bartholomew’s Church, and even fostered and assisted our furry friends at SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare.

Coach Bush stated, "Connor Brown is a tremendous young man who has worked extremely hard to become a great football player. As good as a football player Connor is he is even a better person. "

According to Tracey Maroney, Connor’s counselor, “Connor stands out for his impeccable character. He is consistently respectful, kind, and courteous to his peers, teachers, and members of the community. Connor embodies the qualities of a true gentleman, always adhering to rules and expectations while maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor.”

We all agree that Connor is so deserving of this award, and we are proud to have him as a Jacket! Way to Go Connor!
