Vision Statement

The vision of the North Augusta High School Counseling Department is to prepare students who are confident in academics, sophisticated in learning, accomplished in 21st century skills, global in orientation and prepared as leaders and citizens of our democracy. Utilizing our innovative and resourceful programs in the individual planning process, each student is successful in attaining their academic, social and career goals. Our stakeholders will benefit from a counseling environment that is positive, professional, and caring to support a diverse culture of students.

We will unite our stakeholders to advocate for equity, access, and success for every student. Using our innovative and resourceful curricula, we will provide exceptional learning experiences in a caring, supportive and professional environment.

Statement of Beliefs:

The counselors at North Augusta High School believe:

  • All students will achieve and be prepared for college, school to work and career opportunities in our global society when providing and implementing goal-oriented, high quality standards for 21st century learning.

  • All students regardless of race, culture, sex, or academic abilities will have counseling needs met by differentiated counseling techniques and strategies through the implementation of developmentally appropriate counseling services and 21st century leadership curriculum opportunities.

  • School counselors are effective leaders in promoting high quality, accessible programs advocating for all students to attain their highest potential in areas of academic achievement, personal growth and social domains.

  • All students participate in a comprehensive counseling program in a caring environment developed, implemented, managed and evaluated by certified counseling professionals.

  • School counselors analyze student and school data to determine the needs of the school’s population.

  • The school counselors are highly trained certified professionals that collaborate with all stakeholders and abide by the American School Counselor Association ethical standards and guidelines.

School counselors facilitate the growth and development of all students' academic, social, emotional, and vocational needs.  We are here to assist students and  families with all of the aforementioned school counseling standards.  Students are welcome to make appointments with their assigned school counselor through the counseling office secretary.  This counseling website is an excellent resource for information regarding many areas.  Please be sure to check back frequently for updates.
