Attendance Recovery
Attendance recovery is for those students who have more than 5 unexcused absences in a 1.0 credit course or 3 in a 0.5 credit course. Students may be able to recover some of those absences.
Students recover one class absence for each 90 minutes served. Students are required to complete College and Career Ready prep work using Edmentum during this Attendance Recovery time. If they attend each day and work consistently, they may recover a total of 4 absences per day.

Attendance Recovery Opportunity - Spring 2025
Dear Students and Parents,
If your student received an FA (failure due to attendance) as a final grade for a class, they may attend Saturday School in order to recover some of those hours.
Attendance Recovery will be held on the following Saturdays from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm with a lunch break from 11:30 – 12:00. Our cafeteria will be closed, so please bring your own lunch and drink.
January 25 – (registration deadline Jan 23rd)
February 1 – (registration deadline Jan 30th)
February 22 – (registration deadline Feb 20th)
March 1 – (registration deadline Feb 27th)
Students will be able to recover one class absence for each 90 minutes served, up to 4 class periods per Saturday and up to 16 class periods over the four Saturdays available. If you have more than 16 class periods to make up, please see your school counselor as you may need to attend summer school as well.
Students will be required to complete prep work on Edmentum during this attendance recovery time. Cell phones or other electronic devices including earbuds are not permitted during Saturday School. Students who are sleeping will be sent home.
Attendance Recovery will cost $25, plus a $2.25 processing fee, per Saturday, to attend. You must register and pay through Go Fan using the link provided on the school website. We will register for one Saturday at a time, with the deadline to register being the Thursday before (see registration deadlines above).
Students may enter through the student entrance by the English wing using the regular student parking lot or car line, as usual. Transportation is not provided. We will meet in the business hall and teachers will be in the hallways to guide you. Students who are not pre-registered and paid using the Go Fan app will not be allowed to stay at Saturday School.
Students who have received an FA will be notified on Friday January 17th. You may check your attendance in PowerSchool to see if you have more than 5 unexcused absences.
