This Month at NAUES: Habit 7 – Sharpen the Saw
At NAUES, we are focusing on Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw—a powerful reminder to take care of ourselves and find balance in life. Imagine trying to cut down a tree with a dull saw—it would take much more effort, right? But if you take the time to sharpen the blade, the work becomes easier and more effective. The same applies to our lives!
People who sharpen the saw understand the importance of making time for self-care because it helps them do everything else better. When we sharpen the saw, we invest in our most valuable asset—ourselves—by regularly renewing our body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Kid Language: Balance Feels Best!
✔️ I take care of my body by eating healthy, exercising, and getting enough sleep.
✔️ I spend time with family and friends.
✔️ I find ways to learn everywhere—not just at school!
✔️ I help others in meaningful ways.
By making time for these simple habits, we feel happier, healthier, and more ready to take on challenges. So, how will you sharpen your saw this week?
