Clubs & Activities
Clubs
JES has a few clubs for students!
Student Ambassadors: Fourth and Fifth graders who show exemplary leadership material may apply to be Student Ambassadors. These students assist in the morning with car duty, hall monitoring, and raising and lowering the flags. Students must apply and have a teacher recommendation.
WJES News Team: Fifth graders are welcome to apply to the WJES News Team. Each morning, the News Team arrives at 7:00 a.m. to film for the day. Students on the News Team also report about events at our school, and interview teachers.
Running Club: Students in grades 1-5 can participate in the Running Club. Unfortunately, there is usually a wait list to get on the team. Students practice after school once a week, and participate in several 5K races and fun runs throughout the year. Running Club culminates with a district track meet!
