I am excited to be a part of the Belvedere Family for a fifth year! Last year was nothing short of Excellent, but 2024-2025 is sure to be the #BEStYearYet!

I hold a bachelors degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College and a master's degree from the University of South Carolina. I have experience as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, lead interventionist, program director for 21st Century Grant Funding, administrator of Title I funding and an assistant principal.

When I am not working with the BES family, my two children, Caroline and George keep me busy! We enjoy days spent on the lake and weekends at the beach.

I look forward to getting to know our Belvedere families better and supporting every student. Please feel free to reach out at ALong@acpsd.net or call 803-442-6330.

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Anna Beth Harbeson

Welcome to Belvedere Elementary School! I am a product of Aiken County Public Schools, having graduated from North Augusta High School. I am proud to be a Clemson University alum. Go Tigers! I thoroughly enjoyed serving as assistant principal at East Aiken School of the Arts for 5 years and continued my leadership career at Belvedere Elementary School for the past 2 years. Prior to becoming an assistant principal,  I served as a math coach at Clearwater Elementary School and taught kindergarten and writing lab as well. My favorite part of being an assistant principal is building positive relationships with teachers, parents, children, and community members.

When I am not involved in school activities, I like to spend time with my husband, my two children, and my cats. We enjoy shopping, traveling, and visiting the beach!

As the assistant principal, I am here to address any questions or concerns you may have. Please feel free to contact me at 803-442-6330, or email me at annas@acpsd.net if there is anything I can do to assist you. The safety and welfare of your child is my top priority. I am truly looking forward to the BESt school year!
