  • Co-Plan & Co-teach: Collaborate to brainstorm, design, or execute inquiry - & project-based assignments

  • Assist with engagement strategies or lessons for novel introductions or key moments within instructional units

  • Help deliver instructions on using SC Discus, database, website, & print resources, location, evaluation, selection & citation

  • Curate research pathways for projects

  • Curate resources on specific topics or themes

  • Create or locate breakout/escape room or scavenger hunt activities for unit introductions & reviews

  • Co-Plan & Co-teach Literature Concepts through Children's Literature Instruction

  • Co-Plan & Co-teach Teaching with Children's Books Instruction

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT 

  • PD or demo creative digital tools like Microsoft for Education, Canva, Glogster, etc.

  • Work with students on using digital tools for production, presentations, or portfolios

  • Collaborate on utilizing the MakerSpace activities within curriculum units

  • Brainstorm and support embedding authentic uses of tech in lesson to cultivate future-ready skills

  • Enrich and expand curriculum with virtual field trips

INFORMATION LITERACY & FAKE NEWS 

  • Help design & implement information literacy lessons (EX: reliable sources, keyword searching, website evaluation, fact checking, copyright & online image use, etc.

  • Help design & implement fake news lessons including understanding the what's and whys, thinking critically about sources, and analyzing different forms of bias.

READING PROMOTION & APPRECIATION 

  • Curate recommended book lists around a particular theme or topic

  • Organize & host author visits

  • Book talks

  • Host or collaborate on book tastings

  • Assist with pairing readers to books
