Adult Volunteer reading to students

August 9, 2024

Future Volunteer Reader,

I hope this message finds you well. At North Augusta Elementary, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment for our students to grow, learn, and develop a lifelong love for reading. To further this goal, we are reaching out to our community for volunteers who are willing to come and read to our classes once a month.

We firmly believe that having stories read aloud by various voices is a valuable experience for our students. It can enhance their listening and comprehension skills, introduce them to new vocabulary, and ignite their imagination. Your unique voice and perspective could make a significant difference in their learning journey.

We are in search of volunteers who can dedicate some time to visit a class and share a book or two with our students once a month. Whether it’s a favorite childhood story, a new bestseller, or a classic tale, your presence and enthusiasm will undoubtedly impact our young readers.

Our reading sessions are flexible, and we can accommodate your schedule. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated whether you can join us once a week, once a month, or even just for a single session. Kindly share your preferred day and time for participation, as well as the frequency you desire.

If you are interested in volunteering or need more information, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at rhall@acpsd.net or 803-442-6280. We would be thrilled to welcome you to our school and share the joy of reading together.

Thank you, Future Volunteer Reader, for considering this opportunity to inspire the next generation of readers. Your potential contribution is greatly appreciated, and we eagerly anticipate the possibility of having you join us.

Warm regards,

Regina Hall, School Counselor
