District CTE Programming

District CTE programming offers younger students the opportunity to experience some of our career and technology programming first hand! 5th grade students are offered CTE Techno Camp which is generally held one Saturday in March. CTE Summer Academy is offered for current 6th and 7th grade students (will be rising 7th and 8th graders by the summer camp) and is typically held the first week after school ends on a Monday-Thursday.

CTE Techno Camp Overview

 CTE TECHNO CAMP

 

The CTE Techno Camp is an annual event hosted at the Career Center on a Saturday in March.

 

The purpose of the CTE Techno Camp is to expose elementary students to the career pathway opportunities that are included in Career and Technical Education and quality CTE program offerings across our school district.

 

In recent years, we have hosted a variety of CTE Programs during the CTE Techno Camp that includes:

  • Culinary 

    • Drones

    • Coding/Robotics

    • Cosmetology

    • Hair Braiding

    • Nail Technology

    • Financial Literacy

    • Intro to Web Design

    • Photography

    • Diesel Technology

    • Emergency Fire Management/Medical Services

    • Digital Art and Media

    • Agriculture and Horticulture

    • Biomedical Science (Project Lead the Way)

    • Barbering/Master Hair Care

    • Welding

 

How to Apply

Parents are required to submit an application for their student by the announced deadline each school year. 

Please note: Spots are limited-programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. It is strongly recommended to submit applications as early as possible!

 

Lunch/Camp Materials

Students receive camp materials and lunch daily at no cost to them during the week of camp.

 

Transportation Assistance

Transportation assistance is only provided to students who attend Ridge Spring-Monetta and Wagener-Salley area schools. No other transportation assistance is provided at this time.

 

Eligible students:

  • Must currently attend a school within the Aiken County Public School district.  Out-of-district applications or applications from students who do not attend a school within Aiken County Public School District will not be considered at this time.

  • Must be a 5th grade student that currently attends a school within the Aiken County Public School District.
