Our 8th graders learned about the SC Governor's School for Agriculture today. We were all amazed by beauty of the 1300 acre campus and amount of hands-on activities they offered, as well as a 2-year associate degree upon graduation. https://www.delahowe.sc.gov/page/about-us

Congratulations to our LBC Junior Scholar recipients, Cayden Cunningham, Nicholas Dixon, Amira Olek, and Brayden Reames, who were honored at the Junior Scholar Ceremony. An additional congratulations goes out to Cayden Cunningham for agreeing to be the keynote speaker and doing an amazing job.

Today Mrs. Mraz’s 7th grade English classes got to talk with sports writer McClain Baxley, of 24/7 Sports, about how his job is similar to the argument writing they have been completing in class. Students just finished an argumentative essay about who they believe is going to win the Super Bowl on Sunday night.

Ms. Buckheister's English1 students enjoyed their trip to the Kroc Center to watch the Ruby Bridges production performed by the Augusta Junior Players. It was very well done and the
music was beautiful. The story was an uplifting account of a very brave little girl.
