Gloverville Families,
We had a successful week getting back into the routine of being back in school. We spent a lot of time going over routines and procedures throughout the school and in the classrooms. We are looking forward towards a successful second week of school. A few reminders of things below.
Testing:
These assessments are important, because it allows us to set goals with the students and for the entire school. It is good for students to get a good nights rest and breakfast, especially for the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test.
All Kindergarten and First Grade students will be taking the Fastbridge test throughout the week with their teacher or an interventionist in the building.
All First Grade through Fifth Grade students will be taking the MAP test this week.
Tuesday, July 30th - Reading
Thursday, August 1st - Math
Absences:
As some students have come back, there has been some students that became sick throughout the week.
If your student is absent due to sickness, doctors appointment, dentist appointment, etc. It is important that you send in a doctor's note or parent note for the absence.
You can hand write and send into your child's teacher.
You can send a note through Rooms and the teacher will get it to Mrs. Busbee.
You can email Mrs. Busbee the excuse (SBusbee@acpsd.net)
If your student is absent 3 consecutive days, they are considered truant.
If your student gets up to 5 absences, they are considered truant.
Breakfast and Lunch:
Every student in the school receives free breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast time is between 7:00am and 7:25am. After 7:25 students need to head to their assigned area to be picked up by their teacher.
Ice Cream sales - will start in late August on Fridays again this school year.
Dismissal:
After 2pm, there are no sign outs.
Any changes in the way a student goes home needs to be sent in writing explaining the change.

August 8th - Title I / PTO Open House 5pm to 6pm
August 19th - 23rd - Fall Book Fair
August 21st - Early Dismissal (Dismissal is 11:30am)
August 22nd - Watch Dogs Kick Off - 6pm
