Scholar Athlete Award Recipient Hunter Creasy with coaches, family, teammates, and community partners.

AIKEN, SC (WJBF)- This week’s scholar athlete is Hunter Creasy from Aiken High School.

Hunter plays volleyball and lacrosse for the hornets. The three-time volleyball offensive player of the year spent all four years as team captain.

The all-region and all-state selection also led her team to the 2022 4A State Championship. She’s also a Varsity lacrosse team captain. When she’s not leading in athletics, she’s a class representative for student council, has an honors diploma, a 4.9 GPA, and dual enrollment at USC Aiken.

“Honestly, a lot of time management, on when to complete my schoolwork and focus on sports,” Creasy said. “She’s always had that intrinsic drive to do a lot of this on her own, we don’t have to push her to succeed in sports and academics,” said Gage Creasy.

“Over time, it’s been her confidence and ability to step up into the leadership role,” said Rachel Creasy.

“I do love helping the younger girls. I always had that when I was a freshman, I had senior captains helping me out so being able to do that is really nice.”
