Members of the Aiken County School Board recognized six undefeated athletic and academic teams Tuesday night at their regular meeting.
The Kennedy Middle School girls basketball team and girls volleyball team; the Schofield Middle School football team, the boys basketball team and the Academic Team; and the North Augusta High School AAAA state champion girls basketball team all completed perfect seasons.
The board honored the academic, athletic and extracurricular achievements of more than 130 students, which also included Clara Padgett of East Aiken School of the Arts, who was the district spelling bee winner and runner-up in the regional bee; the Kennedy Middle School MATHcounts Team; and the Schofield Middle School and HAMS Radio Club.
