Aiken County Public School District was named "Best Place to Work" in the Aiken Standard's Aiken's Choice 2019!
The greater Aiken community's top restaurants, businesses, professional services and retailers, as picked by Aiken Standard readers, were lauded during the June 25 celebration held at Newberry Hall. More than 250,000 nominations and votes were submitted for the contest over the course of two months.
"We continue to be amazed by the responses we get and the community engagement," Aiken Standard Publisher Rhonda Overbey said.
Winning an Aiken's Choice award is "really something to be proud of," Overbey continued. "There are not many contests of this type, where local customers can choose their favorites."
More than 200 area businesses and professionals received awards. That figure includes Aiken's Choice and Aiken's Choice Top Docs, the latter focusing on the medical fields.
