The Augusta Chronicle recognizes 20 outstanding students in the Class of 2020: those who have been selected for the 18th annual Best & Brightest Awards. Applicants are evaluated on academic performance, character, community service, leadership and extracurricular activities as well as a nomination letter and an interview.
Congratulations to Kendall Leigh of South Aiken High School for making the list! Nominated by her Math teacher, Dorna Dee Redd, Kendall is the South Aiken High School Class of 2020 Valedictorian, an AP Ambassador and a Junior Honor Marshall.
She is involved in St. John United Methodist Church Foundation Student Ministry and is a Grace Kitchen volunteer who helps to feed the homeless. Kendall also served as the Varsity Swim Team Captain and was a qualifier for Georgia Swimming Senior State Championships in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
