The Aiken Standard coverage area is well represented on the South Carolina Football Coaches Association’s All-State teams.
In all, 35 players from 10 high schools received honors in their respective classifications.
Ridge Spring-Monetta led the way with 10 players earning Class A All-State recognition. Defensive back Ty Adams, specialist Jaden Jeffery, quarterback Remedee Leaphart, offensive lineman Kanaan Ligons, defensive back Jamarious Lockett and wide receivers Tykeem Martin and Bret Smith all made the team, and lineman Peter Blacks, wide receiver/defensive back Deante Hopkins and running back/linebacker Dantrell Weaver were honorable mentions.
Joining them on the Class A team are Williston-Elko linebacker Chris Davis, Wagener-Salley offensive lineman Jamari Stroman, Wagener-Salley standout Cameron Davis, and Wagener-Salley running back/defensive back Ian Stroman is an honorable mention.
