North Augusta High School seniors inducted into 2021-22 Student Hall of Fame

The Jacket Arena erupted with applause as 11 new North Augusta High School seniors were inducted into  the school’s hall of fame.

The annual tradition at NAHS starts with an application process. From there, students vote for their classmates, write an additional essay describing their high school experience and why they love North Augusta. Teachers and faculty then narrowed the list to 11 students after looking at their accomplishments, school involvement and community service.

Students during an upperclassman assembly are surprised by their parents, and presented a certificate for their accomplishments.

“This is my favorite because our students and our faculty – their teachers, their mentors – select them for this honor, so we are so proud,” North Augusta High School Principal John Murphy said. “They have done amazing things whether it’s academic, whether it’s athletic, whether it’s performing arts, whether it’s community service.”

The 2022 Hall of Fame class includes: Annelise Baxley, Austin Brown, Katie Beth Cannon, Katelyn Cochran, Sean Fowley, Jack Greenway, Gillian Gregory, Austin Harrell, Lia Murphy, Madison Noyce and Andrew Towner.
