Aiken Chapter of Links Celebrates Aiken County Seniors, Awards Scholarships

The Aiken Chapter of the Links Inc. recognized high school seniors for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, character, athletics and service.

The program is held annually at Old Macedonia Baptist Church in North Augusta. The guest speaker wasTim Behling, executive director of SuccessTeam, a nonprofit organization specializing in educational youth development.

All students received a certificate, thumb drive and an ink pen. Additionally, nine students were awarded $500 scholarships. Students receiving scholarships were: Cadence Brown, John Ledbetter, Jeremiah Cooper, Ricardo Jones, Marlen Rosales, Ian Shaffer, Emmanuel Nwachukwu, Miracle Pough and Kanaan Ligons.

Kaitlyn Simmons and Delicia Green were awarded laptops.
