For students like Brayden Rutland, the grad walk through the halls of North Augusta Elementary School showcase a full-circle moment.
“It’s kind of heartwarming to come back here and walk through and see all the teachers I had and know that I would help them,” Rutland said.
Rutland, who will attend USC Aiken in the fall, was one of about 20 students who participated in a graduation walk. NAHS and Fox Creek students participated in graduation walks on Tuesday, June 6 at other North Augusta area elementary schools.
Principal Patricia Wilson said full-circle moments mean a lot to her and the students.
“It lets (the students) see where they are going to be in just a few years and it gives them that goal,” Wilson said. “It just lets them know what pathway to keep in school, be serious about it and have a future as a high school graduate and go on from there.”
