Local elected officials, school and district administrators, board members, teachers and students officially cut the ribbon on Hammond Hill Elementary’s recently-completed additions at a ceremony held in the school’s new cafetorium on Thursday, November 9.
Hammond Hill is one of six school campus improvement projects Aiken County voters approved in 2018 as part of a $90 million bond referendum. The projected cost of the renovation and expansion of the school, with 18 classrooms, the cafetorium, and security enhancements, neared $15 million and resulted in a beautiful school facility for 21st century learning.
