SPORTS: Dominant Aiken High Hoops Duo Mirakle Johnson and Ta'Nauziah Corley Sign Scholarship Offers

TA'NAUZIAH CORLEY AND MIRAKLE JOHNSON

Aiken High School celebrated a pair of standout student-athletes on Thursday afternoon as senior basketball players Mirakle Johnson and Ta’Nauziah Corley signed national letters of intent with Morris College in Sumter and Converse College in Spartanburg, respectively.

Family members and friends joined the students as they signed their letters.

Mirakle and Ta’Nauziah starred for longtime Aiken High Lady Hornets coach Aubrey Pompey, and averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds, and 8 points and 8 rebounds, each.

“Morris College was a smaller school and just a great fit for me,” stated Mirakle. “Playing for Coach Pompey was a great experience here at Aiken High. He also coached my mom when she played here.”

“I just fell in love with the campus at Converse and everyone there really made me feel like I was at home,” commented Ta’Nauziah. “I learned a lot here at Aiken High with Coach Pompey, things that will really help me at the college level.”
