We invite you to join us for the second-annual ONE K-12 COMMUNITY DAY OF CARING on Saturday, April 14. This service event devoted to aesthetic improvements at our public schools offers a chance for all to lend a hand, working side by side with students, employees, friends, family and colleagues.
In partnership with Security Federal Bank and The United Way of Aiken County, this is a great opportunity for interested community groups, volunteers, and individuals to roll up their sleeves with us in support of small projects at our schools to enhance curb appeal and the educational environment.
A variety of projects, chosen by students and staff at each school, will be taking place April 14, making it easy to find something everyone will enjoy doing! Whether artistic or handy, volunteers are needed to assist in planting flower beds, installing a garden plot, painting both indoors and outdoors, organizing classrooms, constructing benches, landscaping, power washing sidewalks, raking brush, and more.
To ensure our nearly 25,000 students have the best surroundings possible, we are seeking donations of time, talent, and material from our generous communities. Last year’s event was a great success, and we look forward to completing even more projects this year, with your help.
