2021 Palmetto Champions All-Star Football Team Announced

The 2021 Palmetto Champions All-Star Football Team presented by the South Carolina Football Coaches Association (SCFCA) includes head coaches D’Angelo Bryant of Silver Bluff High School and Brian Smith of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School as well as players Drew Stevens of North Augusta High School and Remedee Leaphart of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School.

Bryant led the Bulldogs to an 11-1 record this season and an appearance in the Class AA state championship game in addition to a Lower State Championship and a Region 5-AA title.   

Smith led the Trojans to a 9-3 record this season, which included a five-game winning streak in advancing to the Class A state quarterfinals.

Stevens, one of the top placekickers in South Carolina, signed a national letter of intent to play collegiately for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. He was 35-for-36 on extra points for the season, posted 51 of 58 kickoffs as touchbacks, and made 9 field goals with two coming from beyond 50 yards. Stevens was named All-Region 5-AAAA, and Class AAAA All-State.

As one of the most dynamic athletes and playmakers in Class A football in South Carolina, Leaphart had another outstanding season at quarterback for the Trojans, accounting for 2,923 yards of offense and 36 total touchdowns. He was named All-Region 3-A and Class A All-State.
