2022-23 Teacher of the Year, First Year Teacher of the Year, Giving Event More (GEM) Honor Court Members Announced

Aiken County Public Schools is pleased to announce its 2022-23 Stars of Public Education Teacher of the Year (TOY), First Year Teacher of the Year (FYTOY), and Giving Even More (GEM) Honor Court members, who are finalists for the overall school district TOY, FYTOY, and GEM awards.

“We are incredibly proud of our Stars of Public Education Honor Court nominees,” stated Chief Officer of Human Resources and Administration, Jennifer Hart. “These employees work tirelessly to provide premier educational experiences for our students, continue to improve their own skills, and support their colleagues.”

This year’s Teacher of the Year Honor Court includes Sharon McCain of Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary, Kim Mitchell of Aiken Elementary, Shamari Moody of Jackson STEM Magnet Middle, Stephanie Prandy of Kennedy Middle, and Rhett Sherman of Hammond Hill Elementary.

The First Year Teacher of the Year Honor Court includes Danielle Altringer of South Aiken High, Bryan Hadden of Belvedere Elementary, Anna Keistler of Mossy Creek Elementary, Emily Lockridge of North Augusta Middle, and Vivian Martin of Graniteville Elementary.

This Year’s Giving Even More (GEM) Honor Court includes Randi Mitchell of Mossy Creek Elementary School, Shannon Boatwright of Jefferson Elementary, Hope Mullins in the Division of Human Resources and Administration, Ashley Bodine in the Division of Instruction, and Tfifany Palmer of Kennedy Middle.

We look forward to honoring each Honor Court member when the school district’s overall Stars of Public Education Teacher of the Year, First Year Teacher of the Year, and Giving Even More (GEM) award winners are announced May 12, 2022.
