Dr. William Derden has been appointed the assistant principal at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School for the 2022-23 school year.
Derden’s academic background includes a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice from Governors State University, a Masters degree in K-12 Special Education, an Educational Specialist degree, and a Special Education Director License from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, as well as a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Bethel University.
Derden has more than a decade of experience as an athletic director, assistant principal, and associate principal throughout schools in Minnesota. He served as the assistant director of Special Services in the Columbia County School District in Evans, Georgia, and is also an adjunct professor at Bethel University online.
Since February 2022, Derden served as interim assistant principal at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School and we are pleased that his duties as assistant principal will continue.
