Veteran administrator Dr. KaRon Webb, who has served as principal at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School since 2019, will expand his leadership role during the 2022-23 school year as principal of Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School.
Construction of the new Ridge Spring-Monetta K-12 campus brought together the middle school and high school in the same building, allowing the schools to operate as a middle-high school beginning in the 2022-23 school year.
Dr. Webb says he has thoroughly enjoyed his three years on “The Ridge” and he looks forward to the opportunity to lead Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High into the future.
“The combined campus will certainly allow us to work efficiently from an operational standpoint because we share so much in terms of space and personnel we cannot afford to operate in isolation,” stated Dr. Webb. “We know while this will be one school there are distinct differences between the middle school and high school academic programs, so there will be challenges, but we look forward to embracing them and we’re confident we will be successful.”
His academic background includes an undergraduate degree in computer science and a master's degree in educational administration from S.C. State University. He also earned a doctorate in educational administration from S.C. State University.
Prior to his service with Aiken County Public Schools, Dr. Webb served as an assistant principal and assistant administrator at the high school level in the Chester and the Columbia areas.
