Administrators Complete Rigorus Aspiring Principal Preparation Program

Five experienced Aiken County Public School District (ACPSD) assistant principals have successfully completed the Aspiring Principal Preparation (APP) program, an opportunity designed to ready promising leaders for principalship. 

Led by ACPSD Director of Administration Dr. Sal Minolfo, future leaders will pave the way for the District to strengthen the quality of instructional leadership throughout our schools, ensuring that all students receive the highest possible quality education throughout the county. 

This group of administrators makes up the second cohort of participants that met monthly to learn and experience the role of a principal while conducting assessments that mirror the work principals are required to do. 

“I am so proud of the accomplishments of this cohort of aspiring principals,” Minolfo said. “They have worked hard on their journey this year to become strong candidates as principals who will lead our schools in the future.” 

Congratulations to the following Aspiring Principals:

Kimmerie Allen, assistant principal of Belvedere Elementary School who will serve as the principal of Redcliffe Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year; Carla Dupert, assistant principal of Kennedy Middle School who will serve as the principal of Jackson STEM Magnet Middle School for the 2022-23 school year; Latonia Evans, assistant principal of Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School who will serve as the assistant principal of Schofield Middle School for the 2022-23 school year; Patrick Newsome, assistant principal of Warrenville Elementary School and the District’s Assistant Principal of the Year for 2022-23 who will serve as the assistant principal of Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year; and Charidy Quattlebaum, assistant principal of Jefferson Elementary School who will serve as the principal of Douglas Elementary School in Edgefield County for the 2022-23 school year.
