Aiken County Public Schools is pleased to announce that online student registration is now open for new and returning students for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.
With next year’s planned implementation of the modified academic school year calendar, Aiken County students are returning to school on July 25. Parents/guardians are encouraged to register their student(s) for the upcoming school year as early as possible.
Detailed information and instructions for registration for both new and returning students can be found on our website’s Registration Hub under “About Us,” or by navigating directly to www.acpsd.net/register. Information for registering students for 5K/Kindergarten and applying for 4K/PreKindergarten can also be accessed via this Registration Hub.
Returning student registration can be completed easily online through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. As part of online registration, parents/guardians may update contact information, submit required information (including transportation preferences), pay registration fees, and submit residency verification documents.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER:
Two (2) documents that support proof of residency. Acceptable documents include:
- Mortgage contract or statement
- SC Driver's License or ID Card
- Property Tax bill or Receipt
- Utility Bill (electric, water or gas)
- Cable/satellite, Internet or telephone bill
- Homeowners/renters Insurance policy
- Notarized Letter from Landlord
Items must be current bills (not older than 90 days) and include the parent/guardian name, residence and service address. You may take a picture of the documents (or driver’s license) to upload as long as the address and information are clearly visible. Most utility companies send monthly bills as a PDF document, which you can attach as well. Any PDF, Word, JPG, or picture file may be uploaded.
In addition to two documents that support proof of residency, parents/guardians registering new students will also need to provide a copy of the student’s birth certificate and immunization record.
REGISTRATION FEE INFORMATION:
We are also pleased to offer a convenient way to pay fees online using e~Funds for Schools. Parents paying fees for more than one student in our District are able to include each of their students into one account and make one payment for registration fees, lunch fees or any additional fees for courses, yearbooks etc. A list of registration and add on fees for the 2023-24 school year can be found at www.acpsd.net/register > Registration Fees. An easy to follow parent guide for creating an e~Funds for Schools account is also available on the website.
SCHOOL ZONE LOCATORS:
The District has recently updated attendance lines with the addition of Highland Springs Middle School which is set to open in the 2023-2024 school year and serve students in both the North Augusta and Midland Valley/Graniteville areas. Updates are currently underway on our District’s comprehensive school zone locator to include the new lines for Highland Springs.
