Badillo Named Assistant Principal at Highland Springs Middle School for the Upcoming 2023-24 School Year

BADILLO NAMED ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL AT HIGHLAND SPRINGS MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR UPCOMING 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR

Eliezer ‘Eli’ Badillo has been named as an assistant principal at Highland Springs Middle School for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. His appointment as an assistant principal for the District’s new middle school was approved during the regular meeting of the Aiken County Board of Education on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Badillo’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Ministries (2010) and a Masters in Elementary Education (2013) from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. He earned his Principal Certification from the University of North Texas in 2015.

Prior to his career in education, Badillo served as a Communications Sergeant in the United States Army from 1997 to 2002. He taught at the elementary level in Texas for six years before transitioning into middle and high school administration.

Badillo has served as an Interim Assistant Principal at Silver Bluff High School since February. Prior to his service in Aiken County, he worked as an Assistant Principal at Manor Middle School for Killeen Independent School District in Killeen, Texas.  Badillo is currently pursuing his doctoral degree with emphasis on educational leadership and is looking forward to helping “create from the ground up a fabulous, healthy school culture for students, staff, and families” at the new Highland Springs Middle School.

He will begin his new role as assistant principal at Highland Springs Middle School in July.
