DISTRICT AND CITY PARTNER IN NEW VIDEO SERIES: SIT DOWN WITH THE SUPER

Aiken County Public Schools is pleased to introduce Sit Down with the Super, a new series of interview-style programming created in partnership with The City of Aiken’s videography team.

The District created the series to highlight schools and offer a more in-depth and personal opportunity for the community to experience the news and information being delivered on initiatives within the school system.

“These video interviews are a natural extension of the personal experience we strive to convey in our District,” Aiken County Public Schools’ Communications Director Merry Glenne Piccolino commented. “These are our community’s public schools and our superintendent and other leaders are open to feedback, questions and concerns. We hope this new series will highlight the approachable leadership that we have in our District, while allowing viewers to learn more about our schools and programs in a new format.”

The first episode premiered on Monday, June 5, during a school-wide assembly at Gloverville Elementary. District Superintendent King Laurence and his leadership team joined fifth grade student Ella Feagin to introduce the series and share the video of Ella’s “Sit Down with the Super” with her school.

An introduction of the “Sit Down with the Super” series as well as the first episode appear now on 4Aiken, the City of Aiken’s channel.
