Anthony Granquist

Anthony Granquist

Director of Bands 

Mr. Anthony Granquist joins us from Bluffton, SC where he served as Director of Bands at Bluffton High School overseeing the Bluffton High Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Bobcat Marching Band. Under his direction, the Bluffton Bands received numerous awards, including superior ratings at local, state, and regional marching, concert, and jazz festivals, several class and division championships, and many caption awards. In 2019 the Symphonic Band received an invitation and performed in the prestigious SCBDA State Concert Band Festival.

Mr. Granquist received his Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis in Music Education from Lander University in Greenwood, SC, graduating Cum Laude. While attending Lander he performed with the Lander Jazz Band, Brass Quintet, Pep Band, and Lander Wind Ensemble, earning Most Valuable Member his senior year. Mr. Granquist was a member of Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. His professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, National Band Association, South Carolina Band Directors Association, South Carolina Music Educators Association, Kappa Delta Pi, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. Mr. Granquist is a Distinguished Graduate from the American College of Education receiving a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

Jordan Finley

Jordan Finley

Assistant Director of Bands 

Ms. Jordan Finley received a Master’s Degree at the University of South Carolina in Music Education. She also graduated Cum Laude from  University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, with an emphasis on Instrumental Music Education. Additionally, she graduated  with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement. Ms. Finley performed with various ensembles, including University Band, Symphonic Winds, Wind Ensemble, Carolina Trombone Collective, USC Trombone Choir, Left Bank Big Band, USC Marching Band and  Women’s Chorus. She served as principal trombone in Symphonic Winds under the direction of Dr. Cormac Cannon. 

She was the Director of Bands at Cardinal Newman School while earning her Master’s, and is now in her fifth year of teaching. She was the clinician for the SCBDA Region 3 Middle School Alternate Band in Spring 2022. Ms. Finley is a graduate of the CERRA Teaching Fellows Program. She holds membership with the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Palmetto State Teachers Association, and the South Carolina  Band Directors Association.
