Tomorrow, our 1st–5th grade students will begin their i-Ready Reading Diagnostic Assessment. This assessment helps us understand each child's strengths and identify the best ways to support their learning throughout the school year.

* Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and arrives at school on time, ready to do their best!
📚 Please check your child’s agenda daily for homework, important updates, and communication from teachers.

🚗 4K & 5K Families: Please use the Red Hall Car Line for both morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.

🎉 House Kickoff Snack Donations
As we prepare for our House Kickoff Celebration on August 19, we are asking for snack donations from our North Aiken families and community.
🗓️ Donations will be accepted through Friday, August 14.
Students will earn House Points for donations received! If you are sending donations for multiple students, please label the items with each student’s name so every student can receive House Points for their contribution.
👕 House T-Shirt Orders
If you purchased a shirt during our House T-Shirt Fundraiser, they are expected to arrive around August 17, just in time for our exciting House Kickoff on August 19!

Every Friday, our students and staff wear their House colors to show their House spirit and celebrate being part of something bigger than themselves.
What is the House System?
At North Aiken Elementary, every student and staff member belongs to one of our four Houses:

Our House System is designed to build relationships, encourage leadership, celebrate positive behavior, and create a strong sense of belonging. Students earn House Points by demonstrating kindness, responsibility, teamwork, perseverance, and other positive character traits. Throughout the year, Houses compete in friendly competitions, participate in service projects, celebrate achievements together, and support one another as a family.
We can’t wait to officially launch our House App next week so students can begin tracking House Points and cheering on their House throughout the year!

🎉 What an AMAZING First Day at North Aiken Elementary! 🐻💙💛 Our Bears jumped right back into the swing of learning today! Classrooms were filled with excitement, laughter, and so many smiling faces. We loved welcoming both our returning students and the many new families joining the North Aiken family this year. It is going to be an incredible school year!

The countdown is over, and we can’t wait to welcome our Bears back for an amazing 2026–2027 school year! Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for a fantastic first day.
📚 A few important reminders:
⏰ Doors open & breakfast begins at 7:00 AM
🚫 No student drop-off before 7:00 AM (there is no supervision before then)
🔔 The tardy bell rings at 7:30 AM—instruction begins immediately.
🚗 No early dismissals after 2:00 PM
🏫 Dismissal begins at 2:30 PM
🚌 Transportation Reminder: Please check your email for bus information. If Transportation has not contacted you to confirm your child’s bus assignment, please plan to pick up your child at 2:30 PM until service has been confirmed.
💙 We appreciate your patience during the first week as we welcome new students and families and help everyone learn our school routines.
