History

Millbrook Elementary is located on the south side of Aiken, South Carolina, and serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Completed in 1953, Millbrook's initial campus consisted of ten classrooms and quickly proved to be insufficient to accommodate the growing number of students and the subsequent overcrowding here and in other schools.

In 1960 and 1964, additional wings were built, and mobile units have been used through the years to relieve overcrowded conditions.

Millbrook was originally built in 1953. A new building was built in 1993 and then the newest addition was added in 2006. Reconstruction of the school, which eliminated the old outer-facing wings, was completed in 2021. New playgrounds were installed in 2022.
