Previously a teacher at Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School in Richmond County, Ms. Westafer joined Aiken County Public School District in 2019. She began as a school counselor at Jefferson Elementary and later joined the team here at LMMS. She holds a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University and a Master's in Education in School Counseling from Augusta University.

She enjoys working collaboratively with parents, students, teachers and school professionals to facilitate all students' academic, social/emotional, and career growth.

 Personally, she enjoys hiking, playing with her dog, Otis, and being mom to a USC-A Pacer!

I have a Master's of Education in School Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi and 6 years of experience as a school counselor. In addition, I have 3 years of experience as a college recruiter at Aiken Technical College and 7 years as a small business owner. 

My mission is to leave the world a better place than I found it. I am looking forward to teaching students how to solve complex problems and manage extreme emotions. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time playing with my three dogs and cultivating a flower garden.
