Welcome to the Leavelle McCampbell Middle School Media Center!  We are open from 7:30 A.M.  - 3:30 P.M.

Students are encouraged to use the Media Center!  Students must have a pass to visit the Media Center during the school day and they must sign in upon entering the Media Center. 

All students are encouraged to participate in the LMMS Battle of the Books Reading Competition.  Students may sign up using the links to the left to participate.  Students are also encouraged to participate in the LMMS Spelling Bee.  

Be sure and check out our subscription to COMICS PLUS - an online library of graphic novels - FREE - ONLINE - ANYTIME. Click this link, use the Microsoft login option, click a book cover, click the green arrows next to the book cover to open and read a title!

Books maybe checked out for two weeks at a time. They may be renewed once, for a total of four consecutive weeks checked out. Please use Destiny to locate books in the Media Center, a link can be found on this page.  No overdue fees are charged at this time. However, books that have been checked out for over four weeks may be marked lost and a fine may be generated in PowerSchool.  Students may check out 2 books at a time.

Mrs. Chapman - Media Specialist

I am entering my fifteenth year as an Aiken County Media Specialist ! I worked at Belvedere Elementary for many of those years. I am very excited to be in my fourth year at LMMS and continue to work with the students, staff and the community! As a librarian, I strive to provide a welcoming place for students and staff to find books, resources, and materials that will support the curriculum, promote a love of reading and inspire lifelong learning.

While I received my Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina, my undergraduate degree and heart belong to Clemson University.  Go Tigers!!

On a personal note, I am married with three boys, two beautiful grandchildren and an amazing daughter-in-law too! My oldest and his family live in Knoxville, TN. My middle son graduated from Clemson and has a graduate degree from the University of Maryland. Last, but not least, my youngest son attends the College of Charleston and is pursuing his dream of becoming a writer!

Mrs. Thompson - Media Aide

Mrs. Thompson is a graduate of the Leavelle McCampbell High School Class of 1979. She has an Associate Degree in Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary. She loves spending time with her family and serving our community. Miss Thompson is an active member of our PTO. Go Rocks!
