Digital Citizenship

What is a Digital Citizen?

According to dictionary.com, a digital citizen is "a person who develops the skills and knowledge to effectively use the internet and other digital technology, especially in order to participate responsibly in social and civic activities."

At Leavelle McCampbell Middle School, we want our students to be responsible digital citizens who are mindful of their digital footprint and protect their privacy and the privacy of others. They are thoughtful in how they interact with others online and are aware of cyberbullies and what they should do if they encounter one. Responsible digital citizens are knowledgeable of copyright and fair use guidelines and always cite their sources.
