Title I/PTO Open House

Parents will first meet in the cafeteria for a Title I/PTO/SIC meeting and then they will dismiss to view the classrooms and meet the teachers. Parent Volunteer training will be in the cafeteria with the school counselor at 6:45 p.m. All parents that volunteer in the school or chaperone field trips must complete volunteer training.

The Aiken County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the District Office, 1000 Brookhaven Drive, Aiken, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting may also be livestreamed from the district's website.

Early Dismissal Schedule (Except Area 4):
Elementary - 11:30 a.m.
Middle - 12:10 p.m.
High - 12:30 p.m.

Area 4 (Ridge Spring-Monetta/Wagener) Early Dismissal Schedule:
Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary - 11:55 a.m.
Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle - 12:15 p.m.
Ridge Spring-Monetta High - 12:20 p.m.
Busbee Elementary - 11:55 a.m.
A.L. Corbett Middle - 12:00 p.m.
Wagener-Salley High - 12:00 p.m.

PTO will meet to discuss a calendar of events for the school year and upcoming fundraisers. PTO will also hold elections for open board member seats.

All parents that want to volunteer within the school or chaperone a field trip must complete volunteer training from the ACPSD. Our school counselor, Mrs. Underwood, leads this training. Big Idea Breakfast

Homeroom teachers and related arts teachers will nominate one student every month whose words and actions represent the core value of the month. These students will be recognized at the end of each month by participating in a breakfast celebration that will be held in the cafeteria. They will be able to invite a parent, loved one, or a classmate from their classto attend. The students selected will receive a Big Idea of the Month certificate at the celebration.
