Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,

Welcome to the new school year! I am thrilled to see our hallways and classrooms buzzing with energy, enthusiasm, and the promise of new beginnings. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are excited to embark on this journey of learning, growth, and success together.

This year, our theme is “Building a Community of Learners.” We believe that every member of our school community plays a vital role in creating an environment where learning is celebrated, diversity is respected, and everyone feels valued and supported.

To our students: You are the heart of our school. This year, we encourage you to be curious, take risks, and never be afraid to make mistakes. Remember, every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow. Get involved in the activities and programs we offer, and make the most of your time here. Your potential is limitless, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

To our parents: Your partnership is crucial to the success of our students. We value your involvement and encourage you to stay connected with us. Whether it’s through attending school events, volunteering, or simply staying informed about your child’s progress, your support makes a significant difference. Together, we can create a nurturing environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

To our staff: Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our students’ success. Your passion for teaching and your unwavering support for our students inspire me every day. Let’s continue to collaborate, innovate, and create an engaging learning experience that challenges and excites our students.

This year, we will focus on academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and creating a safe and inclusive environment for all. We will strive to provide every student with the tools they need to succeed and to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

As we begin this new school year, let’s remember that we are a community – a community that learns together, grows together, and succeeds together. Let’s make this year one of our best yet.

Welcome back, and let’s have an amazing year!

Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor's in Elementary Ed.

Master's in Educational Leadership

I am very excited to begin the new school year as the Assistant Principal at Greendale Elementary School. I began my career as an educator in Miami-Dade County Public Schools in August 2000 as a 1st grade teacher. In the years that followed, I also taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. During the 2015-2016 school year, I became the ELL Coordinator at my school supporting students and teachers with best practices for English Language Learners. The following school year, I began my role as a Literacy Coach and Media Specialist. This role gave me the opportunity to foster a love of reading while sharing books with students in PK-5th grade and providing teachers with instructional support in both Reading and Math. In 2017, I graduated with a Master’s in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. Through the years, I have also enjoyed working with parents and community members to motivate and positively impact students.

I joined the Greendale Faculty in January 2021 as a third-grade teacher. I felt welcomed and right at home immediately. The students at Greendale inspired me from the start. I am looking forward to working with each of our students and families this school year.
