Marcia Bush, the CafĂ© Manager at Mossy Creek Elementary and a proud native of North Augusta, will soon celebrate 20 years of dedicated service in Aiken County Public Schools this August.

When asked about the most fulfilling aspect of her role as CafĂ© Manager, Marcia shared that she has a passion for “putting out good quality product and providing quality service” for her students at Mossy Creek. She emphasized the importance of pristine quality, service, and cleanliness, referring to them as the “three commandments of food service” that she strictly follows.

An important source of Marcia’s motivation is the memory of her mother. From a young age, her mother taught her the importance of a strong work ethic. Because of this, Marcia attributes her drive and determination in the workplace to her mother’s influence, which inspires her to persevere no matter the challenges she faces. Marcia adds that staying focused and calm is the key to success, acknowledging that the job “may be demanding, but it’s always very rewarding.”

Outside of work, Marcia enjoys doing any activity near the water. Her all-time favorite food is Fried Chicken, and when it comes to lunch at Mossy Creek, she favors the nachos, to which she adds her own special twist.
