This year in music we will be experiencing music through playing instruments, singing, and movement.

Some of the topics that will be covered throughout the school year are:

• Singing and performing on instruments a variety of musical styles, alone, and with others

• Improvising, composing, and arranging music within specific guidelines

• Reading and notating music

• Listening to, describing, analyzing and evaluating music and music performances

• Examining and performing music from a variety of stylistic and historical periods and cultures

• Making connections between music and other art disciplines, other content areas, and the world.
