Welcome to Maintenance & Custodial

The Maintenance Department works year-round to ensure that all 42 Aiken County Public schools provide learning environments that are healthy, clean and comfortable.

In order to maintain schools, the district office, and the curb appeal of all sites, our district employs a dedicated team of custodians, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, ground-crew workers, glaziers, and a locksmith.

Work Orders

Aiken County Public Schools has an electronic Work Order System. Work orders can be entered from any location inside or outside of the district.

Each school enters their own work orders. We ask the principals or their designee to review all work orders before they are sent. Once the maintenance department receives the work order, they are reviewed and sent to the appropriate party.

The work order system allows schools and the maintenance staff the ability to track the status of any work order.

Emergencies

If a school loses power or water pressure, we ask that the principal please notify the maintenance department.

We also ask administrators to call the maintenance department if they notice anything they consider to be a serious hazard that needs immediate attention.
