History

The history of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School in Aiken County, South Carolina includes the construction of the original school in 1956, and the subsequent construction of a new high school on the same campus:

  • Original school

    The H.G. Reynolds Company built the original Ridge Spring-Monetta High School in 1956. The school's halls remained largely unchanged for over 60 years.

  • New high school

    In 2018, the H.G. Reynolds Company was hired to demolish the original school and construct a new high school on the same campus. The new high school was built in two phases:

    • Phase 1: Completed before 2017

    • Phase 2: Completed in February 2020, this phase included the construction of a new 124,500 square foot high school. The new school includes a gymnasium, media center, science labs, administration area, and athletic facilities.
