History
North Aiken Elementary was built during the early 1950s. Aiken's population had grown dramatically due to the opening of the Savannah River Plant in 1952 and more schools were needed to serve the influx of students. The school was originally located on Rutland Drive next to Aiken High School. North Aiken moved to its current location at 100 Bears Rock Road at the beginning of the 1999-2000 school year.
