Welcome to Mossy Creek Elementary School. It is an honor to work with the students, parents, teachers, and staff in making our school a safe and nurturing, learning environment, where we are growing leaders everyday. As a graduate of North Augusta High School, I am proud to serve and give back to our community. As I begin my 17th year in education, it is my goal to continue the amazing things that are taking place at Mossy Creek Elementary, and to foster an atmosphere of collaboration among staff, students, families, and community members.
My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina Columbia, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from American Intercontinental University, and a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina Columbia. I also hold a National Board Certification in Literacy, a Read to Succeed Endorsement, and an instructional coach endorsement. I spent the first decade of my teaching career as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Mossy Creek Elementary. I also spent three years as the school’s Literacy Coach, and served as the assistant principal of North Augusta Elementary School for five years prior to being named the Mossy Creek Elementary Principal.
When I am not working, my four children keep me busy. We enjoy spending our days on the baseball field, watching sports, traveling, and hanging out by the pool.
